Just a kid from Union & Redwood in the West Side of Paterson is the way he would describe himself to you. A self taught chef with years of experience who got his start washing dishes at the Mountain Side Inn in South Paterson at the age of 13. Taking recipes and lessons from his Grandmother Maria C. Aponte, he fell deeper in love with cooking thanks to his mother Nidia Rodriguez amazing puertorican dishes. He continued learning from the greats at The Brownstone in Paterson, NJ honing his skills under the watchful eye of Chef Toni Park while serving the hungry Berkeley College student community in Woodland Park, NJ. From transforming bar food into gourmet food at The Huddle Sports Bar & Grill in Nutley, NJ to catering a wedding of over 200 guests in Brooklyn, NY. Specializing in a Latin American fusion style of cooking Chef Luckie introduced Healthy Eats to his private clients in November of 2018 with the goal of helping them lose, maintain, or gain weight in a healthier way. In November 2019 Chef Luckie opened Chef Luckies Kitchen & Meal Prep so that eveyone can come and experience the magic & love that comes from his kitchen.
